Established in 2007, the Center for Wellness & Integrative Medicine grew out of an 11 year experience of the Kauai Center for Holistic Medicine and Research, the Kauai Wellness Center, and the Aloha Ayurveda Academy .

Kauai’s multi-cultured, and multi-ethnic people, and the dynamic natural environment of Kauai fostered a common-sensical practice of medicine, capable of merging clinical services with education, at a price point all could afford.

After the self-publishing of our patient guidebook-cookbook, Eat-Taste-Heal, a Past President of the American Heart Association admonished Dr. Tom to please return to the mainland and spread his impactful method–creating a New Direction in health care.

Relocating to the Santa Cruz area of California permits the Center’s patients to have easy 1 hour access to regional, national, and international airports; a variety of lodging opportunities; excellent regional hospitals; as well as the sublime beauty of old-growth Redwood trees marching from the mountains to the Pacific.

We are grateful to our patients whom have continued to avail themselves of our services during our relocation and growth, as we continue to pioneer expanded services to both laypersons and professionals in healthcare, wellness education, and innovative product development.
