It is often said, “Necessity is the Mother of Invention.”

Out of patient demand on Kauai, Dr. Tom invented a system of Medical Dietology (i.e., therapeutic use of specific foods as medicine) bridging the Ancient systems of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, with Modern Biochemical Nutrition and Functional Medicine.  This system was then codified in the 7-time National Award winning patient guidebook-cookbook, Eat-Taste-Heal, co-authored with Mr. Dan Rhoda, an extra-ordinary patient, writer, graduate of the Aloha Ayurveda Academy, and current doctoral-candidate at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.

Along the way, Dr. Tom picked up another excellent mind–Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar, one of the leading traditionally trained Ayurvedic Physicians of his generation.

Together the three served as principal formulators for a breakthrough liquid nutritional product, Zrii, setting an industry record in first year of sales in the Network Marketing industry.

Since then this team has collaborated in formulations of NutriiVeda Achieve, a Weight Management product and Program; and ACCELL, a non-caffienated metabolic accellerator which improves stress response.

Dr. Tom, Dr. Suhas, and Dan Rhoda continually consult with industry experts to address the challenges of the Modern Lifestyle through traditional wisdom, modern science, and common-sensical solutions.
